Few of them are: Health, Medical Social awareness camps, adult education programmes, clean and green programmes, general awareness programmes for farmer communities, grama sabhas etc. With these programmes the organization has been proceeding with its main vision of “Service to mankind is Service to the God”.
In order to manifest our vision in villages, Our volunteers at villages take-up various voluntary service activities like clean and green programs in the villages, creation and maintenance of roads in the villages. MSST has been continuing with these activities in several villages with the blessings and able leadership of our esteemed and beloved Seva Rathna Dr. Harinath Reddy Kayam.
Mana Samskruthi Seva Trust is conducting following programs in rural areas:
The quality of primary education in the villages was poor. Children of landless laborers did not attend school regularly. They were lacking in their reading, writing and arithmetic skills. Hence MSST was decided to support them with tutorials in villages to strengthen their primary education. And at the same time give value education to them.
Women of the families need to be empowered to for the development of the families and improve their health. MSST conducts various projects for the empowerment of women and young girls. School dropout rate is high in girls after the 7th and 10th grades. Hence MSST started sewing classes for young women. A six month course is developed which teaches the young women sewing skills from the basics. Women from the villages are trained to manufacture handicrafts and households, these products sold through a retail outlets, exhibitions and sales in various fairs and gatherings.
The initiative focuses on promoting volunteerism and imparting spoken English skills to the lesser equipped. The aim is to reach out to students through engaging and interactive modes of learning—role plays, games and presentations. We hope that with the skills and motivation volunteers give them, students pursue higher education and get well paid jobs that often require English language skills. Teaching is an opportunity to discover one’s potential and get an alternate perspective.
